Steve brings over 30 years of consulting, board, teaching and senior leadership experience in human resources. 

His career started with a major executive search firm recruiting over 250 senior leaders to Atlantic Canadian organizations.  In 2001 he joined one of his largest clients, Bell Aliant, where he and his team led talent management strategies during a period of significant transformation.  In 2008, he was recruited as the first Vice President of People at IWK Health.  He and his team developed multi-year people strategies and programs that supported over 4,000 employees dedicated to providing quality care to women, children, youth, and families in the Maritime provinces and beyond.

Steve has actively served on several boards at the local and national level, and taught at the masters level in business and health administration throughout his career. In 2023, he was awarded the national Fellow of the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources (FCPHR) designation, the highest honour in the Canadian HR profession. 

With his return to consulting in late 2025, Steve is focused on helping organizations create the optimal work environment and culture for people to be at their best – and in turn be the best for the clients, customers and communities they serve.  In addition to his own expertise, he can draw on a network of other professionals to support any clients’ specific needs as required.
